A série The Pacific, a comédia Glee e o drama Mad Men obtiveram nesta quinta-feira o maior número de indicações para 62ª edição do prêmio Emmy Awards, o mais importante da televisão norte-americana. As premiações serão entregues em 29 de agosto em Los Angeles. A Academia de Artes e Ciências da Televisão dos EUA divulgou a lista dos candidatos ao chamado “Oscar da TV” em uma breve cerimônia realizada em Hollywood.
The Pacific conquistou 24 indicações na categoria de minissérie ou filme para a televisão, como estava previsto, enquanto Glee e 30 Rock dominaram as indicações entre as comédias, com 19 e 15, respectivamente.
Mad Men, mais uma vez, conseguiu 17 indicações e tentará reeditar seu título de melhor drama pelo terceiro ano consecutivo à frente de Dexter, The Good Wife, Lost, True Blood e da nova Breaking Bad.
A última temporada da popular série Lost alcançou 12 menções ao Emmy, entre estas três para o elenco: Matthew Fox (Jack Shepard), como protagonista, Terry O’Quinn (John Lock) e Michael Emerson (Benjamin Linus), ambos como coadjuvantes.
A festa do Emmy terá o comediante Jimmy Fallon como apresentador.
